“We were doing everything manually: paper forms, Microsoft Word docs, data entry. Having recently undergone the merger, the firm had developed a culture of embracing change. “Everyone provided input on each topic and we had no issue with getting buy-in from the rest of the firm,” added Katie. “We have an amazing team that gets along great, so we just naturally fed off of each other. Not to mention, our old system was just so out of date that we were all excited for the upgrade to LMS. Our prior software just didn’t allow for a firm to grow and change.”

When the pandemic hit it rocked the legal industry. Firms around the world were forced to work remotely for the first time in their history and Isaac Wiles was no exception. However, due to their recent transition to LMS in the Cloud, they were prepared.
“We went remote for 3 months and we would have been dead in the water if we hadn’t converted to LMS the year prior,” said Katie, “I’ve always been happy we converted, but I’ve been incredibly grateful for it over the past few months.”
The entire transition to begin working remotely was completed in a matter of hours leaving almost no downtime for the firm. The move also expedited the electronic billing pilot they had already begun running earlier in the year. Being able to have their clients and vendors pay without the need for cutting/receiving paper checks meant cashflow could continue uninterrupted.
