Description
In this interactive session, we discuss the future of generative AI in the legal profession, including where it will be adopted by law firms and where it will not. From there, we'll discuss the specific impact on the legal practice, including how different lawyering skills and capabilities will be required going forward vs. the traditional path of cost-plus and advisory-driven services. That will then lead to a significant discussion for the participants around the impact of these dynamics on law firm profit models, what new measurements need to be put in place, and how risks can be managed in this new environment.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the participants will be able to:
- Have a clear understanding of how generative AI will not only alter the practice of law, but also the business of law.
- Build a new list of performance indicators that will help law firm leadership compete effectively in an era of artificial intelligence supplementing human intelligence.
- Raise their own and their firm's awareness of the risks of AI on firm profitability and navigate effectively to maintain and even increase firm performance.
